and to be fit, and healthy. Food helps us to be active the whole day long and enables us
to perform various activities like studying, working, playing, walking and talking.

Food Groups
A food group is a collection of foods that has various nutrients. Nutrients are the
substances that are needed by our body for good growth and health.
There are various nutrients are:
Carbohydrates
Proteins
Fats
Vitamins and Minerals
We should eat the food that has all these essential nutrients. These nutrients give
energy to our body. They help our body to repair the damaged cells. They also protect
us from falling ill very often.
