Physical Divisions of India
India has seven different landforms. These landforms are broadly divided into five categories:
1. Northern Mountains 2. Northern Plains
3. The Great Indian Desert or Thar Desert 4. Southern Plateau
5. Coastal Plains and Islands
Work Look at the map of India and spot the different physical features
at home with different coloured pens. Also colour them as indicated:
1. Northern Mountains with brown colour. 2. Northern Plains with dark green colour.
3. Great Indian Desert with yellow colour. 4. Southern Plateau with pink colour.
5. Coastal Plains with light green colour. 6. Islands with purple colour.
