Brahmaputra River Basin
The river brahmaputra is one of the major river in the world. It originates from Mansarovar near
Mount Kailash in the Himalayas. It flows via Tibbet, China, India and Bangladesh to Bay of bangal.
The total length it travels from Himalayans to the Bay is 2900 Km. The Brahmaputra river is known
as Tsangpo river in Tibet. It joins with other two giant rivers, Dibang and Lohit. There are many
tributaries which joins Brahmaputra on both northern and southern bank of the river in Assam.

Punjab is an Indian state located in the northwest of India.

planed city, is the capital of Punjab. Some major cities are
Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Patiala. People of Punjab speak
Punjabi and Hindi. They celebrate Lohri, Baisakhi and
Gurupurabs on large grounds. The Golden Temple in
Amritsar is a place of tourist attraction in Punjab.

Haryana People of Haryana
Haryana is considered one of the wealthier
states of India. Much agriculture, automobile
and other industries are located in Haryana. The
farmers mainly grow wheat, rice and sugarcane.
Haryana is situated towards the south of Punjab.
The Yamuna and Satluj rivers flow through the
state. It provides water for irrigation to the
farmers of the state. Chandigarh is the capital of
Haryana.
