Delhi

Delhi is the Capital of India. It is the center of all the Government offices of India. Delhi stands
along the banks of river Yamuna and is flanked by other states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar
Pradesh and Punjab. Delhi has many famous monuments like- Red Fort, Jantar Mantar and Qutub
Minar. It also has many famous places of worship like- Gurudwara Sis Ganj, Gurudwara Bangla
Sahib, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple and Jama Masjid. People of various states reside here.

Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is a state which is located in the Northern            Taj Mahal is in Agra
part of India. Lucknow is the capital of this state. Famous
cities of this state are Kanpur, Allahabad, Agra and
Varanasi. The farmers of this state mainly grow crops
like- wheat, rice, sugarcane, pulses and oilseeds. People
in the state speak Hindi and Urdu.

Bihar

Bihar is located in the eastern part of the country. It is bounded by Nepal in the north and by
Jharkhand in the south. Patna is the capital of Bihar. Rice is the main crop grown by the farmers of
this state. Hindi, Bhojpuri and Urdu are the main spoken languages by the people of Bihar. Some
people also speak Maithili. The people of Bihar mainly celebrate festivals like- Chhath, Eid,
Dussehara, Diwali and Teej with great enthusiasm.
