Correct way of brushing teeth
The chewing surfaces of the teeth need to be brushed
with horizontal moves. Always move the toothbrush from
the gums towards the edge of the teeth. This will help to
move the dental plaque away. Move the brush back and
forth, gently, in short strokes. Always move the
toothbrush from the gums towards the edge of the teeth.
Spit out the tooth paste and rinse your mouth with water.

                                     When we don't clean our
teeth and tongue properly, bacteria collect in the
mouth and keep mul plying. Bacteria can eat through
the white enamel of the tooth and form holes or
cavi es in it. If we want to protect our teeth we should
be careful of what we eat and drink. Foodstuffs such as
cakes, chocolates, pastries and sweets should not be
eaten too o en. We should rinse the mouth properly
every me if we have such food items. If you keep a
tooth in a glass of cola drink, it dissolves, showing how
dangerous these can be for your bones and teeth. So we should avoid taking so
 drinks.

Teeth and ea ng habits of animals
The herbivorous animals that eat plants such
as cows, goats, horses, etc. have flat front
teeth and broad back teeth. The flat front
teeth are used for bi ng off leaves and grass
and the broad back teeth are useful in grinding
 and chewing.
Plant food is made of cellulose that needs to
 be chewed well.
