Proteins
Proteins grow, maintain and replace the tissues
in our body. Therefore our muscles, organs and
immune systems are mostly made of protein.
Proteins are called the building food. The rich
sources of proteins are pulses, milk, meat,
chicken, fish, eggs, etc.
Fats Protein rich food
Fat is important for the human body. It also
provides us energy and it helps the body use
vitamins A, D, E, and K. These vitamins are fat-
soluble, meaning they can only be digested,
absorbed and transported with the help of fats. Fat
is also vital for maintaining healthy skin and hair.
Rich sources of fats are cooking oils, butter, ghee,
Fats rich food nuts, egg yolk, etc.
Vitamins
Vitamins are called the protecting food as they
protect our body from diseases. Vitamins are
required in small amount in our body. Green
leafy vegetables and fruits are rich sources of
vitamins. More of any particular vitamin may
lead to diseases.
A little carelessness can devoid the food of their Vitamins rich food
nutrients. Overcooking or deep frying may destroy some of the most important
vitamins. Nutrients may get washed away if the vegetables are washed after cutting
them. So, wash the vegetables first and then cut.
Minerals
Minerals are also very important for us. They are required
in very small quantities. Minerals help to strengthen bones.
They are needed by our body for proper growth. Some of
