There are various small and big districts as Rajasthani People
well towns in Rajasthan. The houses in the
desert are designed depending upon the
weather conditions. The roofs of the
houses are flat as there is hardly or no
rainfall. The walls of the houses are thick
to keep the inner houses cool. There are
underground wells to store water for daily
use. The rich merchants live in havelis.
These havelis have large ceilings with well
designed walls and interior. The men of
the desert region wear dhoti-kurta with
colourful turbans. The women wear
ghaghra-choli and odhni.
