usually lay eggs and sit on the eggs to keep them warm. The babies grow in the
warmth. This process of keeping the eggs warm ll they hatch is called incuba on.
Once the babies are formed, eggs hatch and chicks come out of them.
When children are born in a family, their mother and father are called their birth
parents.
Some children do not live with their birth parents. Their birth parents have either died
or deserted them. These children are given shelter in orphanages from where people
can adopt them and take them into families as foster children.
