A. We know that Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program. It contains a workbook which contains
worksheets. The worksheets contain rows and columns which contain cells. You can see that
Microsoft Excel has a family tree. Can you create a family tree for it? The starting is done for you, so
complete it.

B. Open Microsoft Excel 2010 and create the a worksheet displaying data of your class on the topics -
Name, Address, Father’s number, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Mode of transportation to school.
Save the worksheet and exit. Now, perform the following operations :
Ÿ Open the worksheet
Ÿ Insert a column of Siblings in school
Ÿ Delete the column of Mode of transportation to school
Ÿ Align the data in the cells differently
Ÿ Create another worksheet for details of marks obtained in the recent test and rename it
Ÿ Save and close the workbook
D. Divide your class into two groups and then discuss in the class about the advantages and
disadvantages of entering and recording data in Microsoft Excel.
