Water animals
Apart from fish, whales, dolphins and seals that live in water, water bodies are home
to many other animals too. Animals like crabs, sea o ers and sea turtle also live in
water.
Animals such as frogs, toads and salamanders live both on land and in water. They are
called amphibians. They breathe through their lungs or gills or through their skin.
Most of these animals live in or near water or in damp places. Some of these animals
dig deep burrows to stay moist.
Which animals build own homes?
Most animals build their own shelters in the environment they live.
Male gorillas make their nest on the ground and female gorillas build
their nest on trees. Squirrels build their nests on tree with twigs and
leaves. Prairie dogs build a whole town under the ground. Some
