Chapter 13 Plants
All plants are living things. They make our Earth green. They have
different shapes and sizes.
A plant has many parts like seeds, roots, stem, leaves, buds,
flowers and fruits.
Seeds: The plants grow from seeds. Each flower and fruit has
a seed box inside it.
Roots: The roots grow inside the soil. They
absorb water and minerals from the soil
and provide them to the stem.
Stem: The stem is the strong part of the plant. It helps to
support the plant. They also provide transporta on
between the roots and the leaves.
Leaves: Leaves are mostly green in colour. They
make food for the plant using sunlight.
Buds: A bud is an undeveloped flower.
