Chapter 12 Earth and the Sky

All of us live on a planet called Earth. The Earth formed around 4.5
billion years ago. It is sphere in shape.

The Earth is the only planet in our solar system that has a large
amount of water. Due to this, the Earth is known as the Blue Planet.

We share our Earth with plants, animals, Earth
birds, trees and other living things.

Land on Earth

Land on Earth can be divided
into many types. These are:

 Plains

The large areas of flat lands are
called plains. Some people live
and grow crops in the plains.

 Desert Plain
Desert
Sandy, dry lands are called deserts.
A desert has very few plants and
animals because there is a scarcity
of water.
