"Whosoever is born will die" It is the rule of nature. But to continue the life on the
earth, living beings produce young ones of their own kind.
The process by which living beings produce young ones of their own kind is known as
reproduction. Animals reproduce in many ways. Some animals directly give birth to
their young ones whereas some lay eggs which hatch into young ones.

Animals that Lay eggs

There are some animals that reproduce by laying eggs. When the eggs mature, the
young ones hatch out and live their lives. Birds, frogs and butterflies are some
examples of egg-laying animals.

For the Teacher Tell the students about the life cycle of birds, butterfly and frog. Also

tell them about the animals that give birth to young ones.
