See out of the window during night. Observe the night sky. You will see that moon
changes its shape every day.
Every night the moon
appears to be different.
Sometimes, it is round
like a ball. At other
times, parts of moon are
visible. The changing of
the shapes of the moon
are called phases of the
moon.

Stars are the shiny and tiny objects that
appear in the sky at night times. In reality,
they are very big in size. They twinkle in
the night sky.
Some stars also combine together to
form a pattern in the sky. These patterns
are known as constellations.
