Animals, plants and human are living things. There are many features and
factors which make living things different from non-living things. Let us read
further to know more.
There are various features of living things, like -

Fact  Living things can grow. As they grow, their shapes, sizes and appearances may
Time change.

On the other hand, non-living things cannot move on their own. They do not
exhibit any characteristics of life. They do not grow, breathe and feel. They
do not need energy. Also they do not have babies. Some examples of non-
living things are stones, furniture, electronic goods, books, buildings etc.

Try Your Bits See around your room and write names of any five non-living things
you see.
